High school students: Get ready to pack your bags! You can join 2,000 teens from across the U.S. June 14–21, 2026, to make new friends and share experiences in Washington, D.C., all paid for by your electric cooperative.

The Government-in-Action Youth Tour sends Texas high school students on this educational and fun trip through a nationwide program sponsored by electric cooperatives. Texas’ electric cooperatives have been sponsoring students on Youth Tour since 1965, and so far, more than 4,400 Texas youths have gone on this memorable trip.

Those thousands of Texas Youth Tour alumni now have more ways than ever to reconnect with their friends and memories. In honor of the program’s 50-plus years, Texas Electric Cooperatives unveiled Your Tour magazine and the Texas Youth Tour Facebook page.
